I was born in Yokohama Japan to German and Japanese parents. I lived in Nepal,
Japan, and the Netherlands before moving to Boston Massachusetts
at age 12.
I attended Reed College in Portland Oregon, where I studied philosophy.
There I contemplated on such vagaries as the Culture Industry and
monads. I also did a stint at Mass Art, and am currently trying
half-heartedly to finish a degree at Harvard.
Early influences include Japanese comics, Dr. Slump, Kurosawa,
Kubrick, Hayao Miyazaki, Stereolab, T. S. Eliot and Russian Constructivism.
Most computer art on this site was made using nothing but an Apple
G3 ibook and its trackpad.
In my spare time I'm working on a Broadway musical adaptation of
T. S. Eliot's The Wasteland. It will feature bungees, rollerblades
and trampolines. Hopefully De La Soul will make a cameo for the
Death by Water segment. I am confident it will be a neo-Wagnerian
masterpiece. It will last six hours long.
